Most people look at comics, and think of the writer, and then the penciller.. and that's it. Too often, an inker's efforts and contributions have been ignored by the public-at-large. Ray, however, is one of the inkers on the scene that truly makes a fan realize how good a comic can be.

His graceful efforts, and stark shadowing has created a style recognizable, respected, and inspired. Inkers are quickly gathering their own fans, and we think that after seeing some of Ray's work, you'll agree, there are obvious reasons.
A founding member of Studio Phoenix in 2002, Ray Snyder is an illustrator, printmaker, three-dimensional artist, and writer who also co-founded Jolly Roger Studio in 1994. A lengthy and diverse career has allowed him a wide variety of artistic pursuits.
From an early start as art and advertising editor of a local magazine at age 19, through many intervening years of gallery shows, gaming illustration, production and advertising art & design, Ray has become best known in comics as an inker.
Ray's portfolio includes work on almost every iconic comic book hero, as well as co-creation of LAZARUS 5 for DC Comics, DR. STRANGE: THE FLIGHT OF BONES for Marvel Knights, THE MUMMY product style guide for Universal City Studios, and the "Animator" Chevy Truck animated commercial for Cambell-Ewald and Chevrolet Truck Division.
Currently, Ray is spending his days embellishing the pages of DC's resident Amazonian Princess, Wonder Woman along with Drew Johnson.
