Jeff Parker first surfaced in the comics industry at Malibu Comics, drawing several issues of the hero Solitaire. He went on to do work for DC on books such as Justice League, Wonder Woman, Robin, Batgirl, and several stories in the Paradox Big Book Of... series.
At the end of the '90's Jeff moved to California to storyboard for Sony Animation on The Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot. He regrets passing up a storyboarding position on Futurama, but he decided to spend some time working on live-action. Much of this was in commercials for clients like Jaguar, Skechers, Coors, T-Mobile, Verizon, McDonald's and more. He also did occasional work on music videos, for such acts as Nelly and IMA Robot.

All of this storyboard work afforded the extra time for Parker to proceed with The Interman, a 128 page adventure graphic novel that he published under the name Octopus in early 2003! Interman immediately met with critical acclaim and was optioned by Paramount Pictures for feature film. This year the book had the distinction of being placed on the American Library Association's Best Books for Young Adults list, and is now turning up in libraries across the country. Later in 2003, Jeff and family escaped Hollywood and moved up to Portland, Oregon, where he is currently doing regular work for local institution Dark Horse Comics.
He's also been nominated for Talent Deserving Wider Recognition in the Eisner Awards, so remember him come voting time! And look for a new installment of Interman out later this year!
